KRISTEN BARTOLOMEO (Helena) is ecstatic to be participating in her very first production with Shakespeare in Delaware Park! This past spring she graduated from the University at Buffalo with her BFA in Music Theatre, and some recent credits of hers include Guys and Dolls (Drunk/Waiter) and Pippin (Berthe). She is looking forward to working with such a talented cast and crew, and would like to thank her friends and family for supporting her in all of her theatrical endeavors!

MIKE BENOIT (Assistant Stage Manager) is a Fredonia Theatre Studies graduate, grateful and excited to be back working with SDP again. Previous SDP credits include King Lear (Oswald), Macbeth (Young Siward), The Winter’s Tale (Gentleman/Shepard) and Romeo and Juliet (Balthazar). Michael has also had the privilege of appearing onstage with Theatre of Youth (The OutsidersPinkalicious, and New Kid), and New Phoenix Theatre (My Three Angels); as well as working backstage with Jewish Repertory Theatre (Asst. Stage Manager, Props Master). “Many thanks to the cast and crew for their hard work, and my family and friends for their support!”

TODD BENZIN (Bottom) is a Buffalo born and bred actor and improviser. For his work on stage in 2018, Todd was awarded the first-ever Artie for Outstanding Character Performance as Franz Liebkind in the Kavinoky Theatre production of “The Producers.” He has also appeared at Shakespeare in Delaware Park (most recently as Benedick in 2018’s production of “Much Ado About Nothing”), Shea’s 710 Main Street, the Irish Classical Theatre, Road Less Traveled Productions, the New Phoenix, the Ujima Theatre, Subversive Theatre, Theatre of Youth, and MusicalFare, where he was nominated for two Arties for Supporting Actor in a Musical. He has also appeared on film in “The American Side” and as a voiceover artist in several video games including the “Magicka” series. Todd is a Conservatory graduate from the prestigious Second City in Toronto and a member of improv duo Babushka.

STEVE BRACHMANN (Flute) is crazy grateful to be working with Shakespeare in Delaware Park again after having made his debut with the company in Henry V (Bates). A 2011 graduate from Fredonia (BFA Acting), Steve has worked locally with Raíces Theatre Company, Theatre of Youth, Irish Classical Theatre Company, Road Less Traveled Productions, Buffalo United Artists, Inclusive Theater of WNY, O’Connell & Company and many others. Steve recently finished his second year at the University of Buffalo School of Law and served as Vice President of the Intellectual Property Law Society at UB Law. Steve would like to thank God for everything, his family for everything else, and you for taking the time to get to know an actor. Prov 3:5-8.

MELINDA CAPELES (Puck) is a performing artist whose talents range from dancing, singing, and acting to aerial arts, clowning, and combat. This two-time Artie Award winner for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Musical (2015 Stumpin at The Savoy), And Outstanding Lead Actress in a Musical (2019 La Lupe: My Life, My Destiny) Has performed locally with multiple theatre companies such as Irish Classical Theatre, Theatre of The Youth, Road Less Travelled, 710 Main, Subversive theatre, Raíces, Shakespeare in Delaware Park, Ujima, and Paul Robeson Theatre. Nationally, she performed with Cirque Du Soleil, Walt Disney World, and Disney Cruise Line. As a proud member of Los Artistas Del Barrio Buffalo, she has collaborated with a few organizations within the community like El Batey Dance Center, Nickel City Poetry, and Albert Knox Museum to name a few.

EMMA ENGLISH (Stage Manager) is so excited to be back with SDP! She previously stage managed Second Generation Theatre’s production of The Toxic Avenger and worked backstage on Angels in America and several productions at Irish Classical Theatre and at the Top of the Hill Shakespeare in Delaware Park. She is the founder of Buffalo Theatre Workshop, a group dedicated to reading and developing original scripts by local playwrights. Emma also works as a dramaturg in the Buffalo theatre community. She would like to thank SGT for this opportunity, her family, friends and Marty for their love and support throughout her life and especially in the past year.

MIKE GARVEY (Peter Quince) is extremely proud to return to the Park this summer as Peter Quince.  A Midsummer Night’s Walk marks the third time Mike has acted with Shakespeare in Delaware Park.  Mike, a graduate of Canisius College and University at Buffalo Law School, has most recently appeared in commercials for AAA Travel and Zales, and has performed voiceover work in industrial training videos.  Mike lives in Buffalo with his family and is an attorney at a locally headquartered bank.

NATHANIAL HIGGINS (Lysander) is always excited to return to Shakespeare in Delaware Park’s stage. He has been seen in previous productions of Love’s Labour’s Lost, Much Ado About Nothing, Twelfth Night, and Henry V. He has also worked with Desiderio Dinner Theater, Lancaster Opera House, Springville Center for the Arts, Shakesperience Productions, WMS Theatre, RAPA, and OFC Creations. Tours: A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Julius Caesar, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Gulliver’s Travels. TV Credits: “Mansion of Mystery.”

CHRISTIAN HINES (Demetrius) of Buffalo N.Y., is a Junior theatre performance major at Niagara University. Previous college credits include She Kills Monsters (Miles), An Ideal Husband (Vicomte), Freaky Friday (Ensemble)(NU), What Where (Bim)(NCCC). His Highschool roles include (Ensemble) Shrek the Musical, Little Mermaid ( Ensemble). He also co-wrote a radio play “ It’s All About Time” for Buffalo Rises 2.0 at Roadless Traveled Productions. He extends his love and heartfelt gratitude to his professors, family, and friends who have supported him in every creative achievement.

PETER HORN (Oberon) is excited to return to Shakespeare in Delaware Park after tramping about as Costard in Love’s Labour’s Lost way back in 2019. Since then, he has played Chet in Christmas Over the Tavern at Shea’s 710 (MusicalFare) and Charlie in the Road Less Traveled digital production of Bigfoot set in Western New York. This evening he is over the moon to play scenes opposite his real-life fairy queen, Robyn Lee Horn. Thanks to everyone at SDP for welcoming me back, to friends and family for abundant support, and to you for patronizing this unique public art experience.

ROBYN LEE HORN (Titania) is delighted to return to SDP after playing Ariel in The Tempest, and is thrilled to spar with her fairy-king husband, Peter Horn. She directed A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Academy for Performing Arts high school in NJ where she taught for 6 years. In Buffalo, Robyn played Bea in the RLTP digital production Bigfoot by John Elston and Adult Alison in Fun Home with MusicalFare (Artie Nom.) Robyn is pursuing a PhD in Theatre and Performance at UB and is the Managing Director of Alleyway Theatre, where she directed the short plays Goat Song and Lily and Tessa’s Super Star Show, Episode 37.

SABRINA KAHWATY (Hermia) is thrilled to be making her SDP debut! Buffalo credits: Pinkalicious (Pinkalicious), Tuck Everlasting (Winnie), A Charlie Brown Christmas (Sally), Miss Nelson is Missing (Cheryl), and Stellaluna (Flap/Big Bat #1); Theatre of Youth, Nine (Necrophorus) and The Wild Party (Nadine); Second Generation Theatre, The Nether (Iris), Road Less Traveled; Significant Other (Laura) and Harbor (Lottie), Buffalo United Artists; Gypsy (Agnes), MusicalFare Theatre, Young Frankenstein (Ensemble); O’Connell and Company, Killer Rack (Madame Zingara/Sheryl), Alleyway Theatre. Sabrina is a proud graduate of Niagara University’s BFA Theatre Performance program. Sabrina thanks the entire SDP team and her incredibly supportive family and friends.

KYLE LOCONTI (Director) is always delighted to return to the Park, where she served as production stage manager for 14 years, directed the 2012 A Midsummer Night’s Dream and the 2018 Much Ado About Nothing.  Other directing favorites include Stellaluna (Artvoice Artie Award – Outstanding Direction of a Musical 2017-18) at Theatre of Youth, Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird  (nominated for 2020 Artie Award – Outstanding Direction of a Play) at the Kavinoky Theatre and The Year of Magical Thinking at Irish Classical Theatre Company. LoConti wants to thank SIDP for this opportunity, her kids – Vic and Kate, and her son-in-law Anthony, for their constant love and support, and especially the new man in her life, Santiago Hercé LoConti Alcocer.

MORGAN MINCER (Fairy/Aerialist) This is Morgan Mincer’s debut at Shakespeare in Delaware Park. It is also her debut as an aerialist! She is going into her Jr. year at Niagara University for theatre performance where she’s played: Alex (On the Verge), Mrs. Cheveley (An Ideal Husband) (a radio play), Cathrine Connolly and others (The Laramie Project), and Lisabette Cartwright (Anton in  Show Business). She is excited to bring the art of aerial into acting work, and finally do theatre again!

MARA NEIMANIS creates theatre in the air using suspended steel sculpture. Her work comprises writing, performing, and producing solo and ensemble aerial plays as well site specific aerial installations and performances. Based in Baltimore from 2006-2018, Mara was awarded commissions from the Robert F Deutsch Foundation, Maryland State Arts Council, California Institute for the Arts, The Baltimore Community Foundation, Gallaudet University, Teatro Abya Yala/ Costa Rica, and Pixar Studio’s development of It’s a Bugs Life. Mara is a graduate of the Dell’Arte School of Physical Theatre where she served as an instructor and company member for 8 years and is a guild certified Feldenkrais Practitioner. Presently, Mara has a private Feldenkrias practice in Buffalo and teaches Physical Theatre/ Aerials at Niagara University.

DAN TORRES (Puck) is excited to be back with SIDP for this very unique experience. Some of his favorite past roles around Buffalo include Mowgli in The Jungle Book (Theatre Of Youth), Alex in El Coqui Espectacular & The Bottle Of Doom (Raíces Theatre Company), The Messenger in Much Ado About Nothing (Shakespeare In Delaware Park), Prentiss in Peter and the Starcatcher (MusicalFare), and Algernon in The Importance of Being Earnest (Casting Hall Productions). PHIL WACKERFUSS (Puck) is a multi-modal performer, teacher, and choreographer from Chicago, IL. He holds a BA in Theatre Arts from Illinois Wesleyan University, an MFA in Dance from the University at Buffalo, and is a Licensed Massage Therapist in IL and NY. Phil has performed with First Folio Shakespeare Festival in Chicago, VADCO Modern Dance, INASIDE Chicago Jazz Dance, and LehrerDance in Buffalo. He dances with fire in Buffalo’s “Pyromancy” and is on the organizing committee for the Buffalo Contact Improvisation Collective. Favorite roles have been Drosselmeyer in The American Academy of Ballet’s Nutcracker and Caliban in The Tempest. He is excited for his third summer with SDP and eager to present an all-new way to experience Shakespeare as the mischievous Puck!

REAGAN ZUBER (Fairy/Aerialist) is thrilled to be making her Shakespeare in Delaware Park debut! Reagan is a rising junior BFA Theatre Performance major at Niagara University, where she recently acted as assistant choreographer for SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD. Credits include: Kate in IT’S ALL ABOUT TIME: BUFFALO RISES 2.0 (Road Less Traveled Productions), Marge Murray and others in THE LARAMIE PROJECT (Niagara University), Player in PIPPIN (Niagara University, cancelled due to COVID-19), Ambrose Kemper in THE MATCHMAKER (O’Connell and Company: Virtual Table Reads with a Twist), Vixen in THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS (Lancaster Opera House), and others. KIANA DUGGAN-HAAS (Player) is thrilled to be back in WNY and making her performance debut at SDP! A Shakespearience and Amherst Central High School alum, she is now studying Theatre Arts and Linguistics at SUNY New Paltz. She last worked with Shakespeare in Delaware Park as the Hill Concierge for the 2019 Summer Season. Some favorite past roles include: Arviragus et al. in Cymbeline at SUNY New Paltz, Romaine Patterson et al. in The Laramie Project at SUNY New Paltz, Sive in Sive at Irish Classical Theatre Company (Artie Award Nomination, Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Play). She also recently performed with the Hudson Valley Performing Arts Lab in Performing Art, their series of devised films made in collaboration with the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art. She would like to thank her family and friends for their everlasting support, and the SDP team for such a wonderful opportunity.

K GORNY (Stage Manager) is a recent Theatre Design/Production BFA graduate of Niagara University. Professional credits include Shakespeare’s Greatest Hits (Stage Manager) with Shakespeare in Delaware Park, build crew for SDP’s 2018 & 2019 seasons, Hamlet (Internship – Production Assistant) at Iris Theatre in London, UK, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Stage Manager) at Live Literature Theatre in London, UK. University credits include Legally BlondeLittle Shop of Horrors, and Some Girl(s) (Stage Manager). Many thanks to all the theatre makers; you make the world a brighter place. 

GABRIELLA (GABBY) MCKINLEY (Player) is a Staten Island native and recent graduate of Buffalo State College’s BA Theater program. She is also a proud alum of the MCC Youth Theater Company located in NYC. Her recent Buffalo credits include playing Shug Avery in The Color Purple (Buffalo State College), Trix in The Drowsy Chaperone (Buffalo State College), a Dynamite in Hairspray (Kavinoky Theater), Rachel in The Killing of a Chinese Bookie (Torn Space Theater), and Emilia in Othello (Buffalo State College). Gabriella has also held administrative and management internships with the Broadway League, Hamilton: The Angelica Tour, and The National Black Theatre as she works towards someday opening her own theater company working with underserved populations in her hometown.

RICKY NEEDHAM (Player) is thrilled to make his debut with Shakespeare in Delaware Park! He is a Buffalo-born actor who has studied and performed at The Second City (Chicago) and received his undergraduate degree in Theater from SUNY Buffalo State. Recent credits include Gabie/Others – The Boys Upstairs (BUA/Artie-Nominated performance), Tony – West Side Story (MusicalFare Theatre), and Josh – The Antipodes (Road Less Traveled Productions). Ricky is so grateful to Lisa, Saul, and everyone at SDP for the opportunity!

DAN URTZ (Player) graduated from Niagara University in 2014 with a BFA in Theatre Performance, and has since performed with numerous Buffalo theatre companies. He was most recently seen in Road Less Traveled’s production of Hand to God as Jason/Tyrone, earning an Artie Award nomination and winning Buffalo Spree’s Best of WNY 2020 aware for Leading Actor in a Play. Other credits include: West Side Story (Diesel), Spamalot (Not Dead Fred/Ensemble), A Charlie Brown Christmas (Charlie Brown), King O’ The Moon (Rudy), It Shoulda Been You (Marty), The Foreigner (Ellard).
